Craig W. Hoeft, O.D.
Dr. Hoeft is a graduate of Southern California College of Optometry. He's been practicing in Burbank for the past twenty-two years, having grown up in the local community. He specializes in Lasik consultation, state-of-the-art contact lenses, including Ortho-K.
Dr. Hoeft is a member of Burbank Noon Kiwanis and the Burbank Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Jenny, are the proud parents of two daughters, who are active club soccer players. He is a licensed soccer referee and coaches girls' soccer. Dr. Hoeft is active with the California Optometric Association in various committees, as well as being a past President and current Board member of the San Fernando Valley Optometric Association. |
Wayne W. Hoeft, O.D.
Dr. Wayne Hoeft has been in practice since 1959. He is a professor Emeritus at the Southern California College of Optometry, having retired after 41 years of teaching the specialty of Low Vision care for the partially sighted.
Dr. Hoeft's specialty of Low Vision for nearly 50 years has helped thousands of partially sighted and legally blind patients continue to maintain their visual independence through his designing of special Low Vision systems. In addition, Dr. Hoeft is involved in consulting with school districts in the San Gabriel and Santa Clarita areas, providing vision screening services, which are mandated by the State of California for elementary school students. |
Dr. Hoeft is licensed to medically treat diseases of the eye, and removal of foreign bodies from the cornea. He is a past chairman of the American Optometric Association Low Vision section, a past chairman of the American Academy of Optometry Low Vision section and one of only 75 Low Vision Diplomates, world-wide.
Besides his specialty in Low Vision, Dr. Hoeft does general optometry, including children, adults and seniors, and helps people with visual stress created from computer use.
He is a past President of the Kiwanis Rose Float of Pasadena, past President of the Hollywood-Los Feliz Kiwanis Club and is a past chairman, for ten years, of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District Rose Float Committee. He has received many awards from the state of California, Los Angeles County and the city of Los Angeles for outstanding service to the community.

Jim Caballero, O.D.
Dr. Jim Caballero is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry and has been practicing in the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita area for years. He has extensive experience in contact lens fittings, and his previous positions included managing the contact lens department of a local Ophthalmology practice.
Dr. Caballero is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, as well as previously serving on the Board of the San Fernando Valley Optometric Society, as Secretary and Peer Review Officer. He is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Jim and his family love to take "road trips" and favor the San Diego and Bay areas. |
Linda Pang, O.D.
Dr. Linda Pang graduated from Southern California College of Optometry and completed her residency training in ocular disease/low vision rehabilitation at the renowned Lighthouse International through the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry. After residency, she joined the staff at Lighthouse International and served as an adjunct clinical faculty for SUNY College of Optometry. In New York City, she published a book, The Lighthouse Clinician’s Guide to Low Vision Practice and was an advisory board member for Baruch College’s Computer Center for Visually Impaired People. Dr. Pang returned to Southern California to serve as Chief of Vision Rehabilitation Service and Assistant Professor at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Optometry. She trained optometry students & ophthalmology residents about interdisciplinary teams for optimizing vision performance and improving patients’ quality of life. She was a contributing author to Clinical Sciences Series: Low Vision Rehabilitation interactive iBook from Ridgevue Publishing.

She has been invited to speak at Weill Cornell Medical College/ Department of Ophthalmology, City University of New York / York College Occupational Therapy Graduate Program, USC Keck School of Medicine’s Ophthalmology Residency Program, and Foundation for Fighting Blindness Los Angeles Vision Seminar. She is an alumnus of the prestigious American Express Leadership Academy and was actively involved in the Inaugural American Express Leadership Academy Alumni Summit. She is a past participant of Stanford University’s Medicine X CHANGE Conference.
Currently, she works in both private practice and Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Pang’s practice philosophy focuses on patient-centered care. She advocates for persons with vision loss or blindness and empowers them with devices & resources to remain safe, healthy, and independent. She prescribes custom-made optical systems, technology, rehabilitation strategies, and support services to help people overcome the daily challenges associated with vision loss. She is dedicated to improving people’s quality of life by providing practical real-world solutions because she understands how vision loss affects people performing daily activities

Dr. Lusine Vardanyan
Dr. Lusine Vardanyan was raised in Los Angeles and received her undergraduate education at UCLA; then she pursued a Doctor of Optometry degree at Western University of Health Sciences. Dr. Vardanyan served as president of the Armenian Student Association at Western University, and continues to be an active member of the Armenian American medical community. She is also an active member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and San Fernando Valley Optometric Society.
While Dr. Vardanyan practices primary eye care and manages all ocular conditions, she is especially passionate about and has received extensive training in dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, and myopia control. Dr. Vardanyan considers herself to be an educator at heart; she takes her time to thoroughly educate patients about their ocular health. She firmly believes an educated patient is an empowered patient. Dr. Vardanyan and her husband love hiking, traveling, and cooking together. |
Elida Pineda
Elida Pineda, our office manager, has been with the practice for over 20 years, having started with Dr. Wayne when she was in high school. She also works, every other week, with Dr. Hoeft at the Santa Anita Race Track's medical facility managing the patient flow and dispensing glasses at the Optometry department.
Elida is one of the technicians who works closely with the patients at Burbank Family Optometry, including Dr. Wayne Hoeft's Low Vision patients, and our hispanic patients. She is the mother of two sons. |
